The LAS is no stranger to mystery—their history and documentation laden with conspiracy and monstrosity. Not all LAS's inner workings are spoken of outside of their circles, but here are some of the projects leaked to those on the lower rungs of the ladder, such as captains.
Project Mist is a project related to a handful of currently living operatives. Scientists collaborated with OPs to conduct child experiments with magic to prove and disprove theories.
Some of the children were outsourced from adoption agencies, taken through coercion, or kidnapped. Those not taken from existing parents were birthed from artificial wombs—a illegal practice in Leundafel and most other countries.
These experiments ranged from demonic possession to training child OPs as young as eleven.
Project 17, aptly named, is one of several infrequently documented leviathan cases.
In the year 2229, Leundafel began relocating the Hoabi in the north-east of what is now known as Judicia, where they would deliver the Hoabi across borders to South Tekago. During a stop at Rembridge, an unexpected snowstorm tore through the temporary refugee camp and iced everyone into a small clearing in the forest. The Leundafelan soldiers decided to shoot the refugees to avoid running low on rations, and buried them in a mass grave.
This mass grave became a leviathan, trapping others in a hellish expanse of trees, torturing them with visions, and eating them alive.
Project 17B is the first attempt to destroy the leviathan. This attempt was made with little understanding of the full scope of the invasion, and was planned under what was described as "false-pretenses". No one involved in Project 17B's infiltration was involved in 17A. OPs who entered the area were not expecting such a vicious leviathan, nor the addition of a secret TLF base located next to the leviathan.
Project 17C is the last attempt to destroy the leviathan in Rembridge. Operatives infiltrated the clearing and destroyed the leviathan, as well as the rebellion camp next to it.
